Process
Moodboard
I created a moodboard based on my client’s feedback: clean, modern look with rainbow colour splashes and dark purple or black.
Wireframe
The wireframe for Sacred Source Connection established the layout and navigation for the website. By focusing on the user journey, the wireframe allowed for clear decision-making regarding the overall design, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for users.
Logo Options
The client liked the meditating figure and chakras of the original logo.
These are the initial three options I offered to the client. multiple branding choices that reflect the meditative and transformative nature of the business. Each option was created with the goal of capturing the essence of serenity and mindfulness, while providing the client with diverse visual styles to choose from.
I created two versions of the chakras, one version with paint “circles” and another with paint “splashes”. I also wanted to incorporate the impression of a glowing moon in the background, so I stuck to a circular shape.
Colour Palette
I gave the client several options that included purple as requested. All of the colours are calming to capture the nature of the meditation services. I also added a more blue-leaning option to represent a dark sky.
Outcome
Website
I chose this hero image for the website because it pulls many of the same colours from the logo, and the figure mimics the figure on the logo. A setting sun means nighttime and the moon will be seen, keeping in the full moon theme. The user persona can quickly purchase tickets to the monthly Zoom Events meditations directly from the main page.
Logo
The client really liked colour splashes and the added moon, but preferred it to be more abstract, so I used this pointillist circle. I added a glow around the figure to ensure it would stand out against a dark background.
The final logo for Sacred Source Connection captures the essence of the company’s meditation and wellness services. I wanted the logo to be both serene and inviting, perfectly reflecting the brand’s mission to provide transformative meditative experiences.
Design system
I used the font “Montserrat” for headings for a clean, simple look, and “Noto Sans” for universality.
Despite initially preferring a purple colour scheme, the client ended up loving the dark Penn Blue (#030637) for the background of the website, with accents of Ultra Violet (#726DA8) and crisp pops of Silver (#BFBFBF) and White Smoke (#F2F2F2).
Banners
The client wanted to add inspirational quotes to the bottom of each page so I designed a rainbow colour explosion banner. I used another version this image to use as the header for each page to help tie the logo in with the rest of the website.
Zoom Events Hub
After the website was designed, I applied the design system to Zoom Events Hub.
Zoom Events Hub
There was an opportunity to add another image to the Hub as a tab, so I put the chakras and colour splashes on their side to fit the 300×56 px size requirements.
full Moon Graphics
I designed the full moon graphics to visually represents the unique theme for each month, blending symbolism with clean, glowy visual elements.
To create these full moon graphics I focused on colours that represent each month or season and added imagery to match the name of each full moon. I was also able to use the glow feature on these moons initially added to some first logo drafts to help even the darker colours stand out.
